The McLeod Children's Hospital is now accepting enrollment for the 2012 Camp Health, a free and fun camp for children ages 5-12 with chronic illnesses such as asthma, sickle cell, and Type I diabetes. The camp will be held Tuesday, June 15 -Friday, June 18 in the McLeod Children’s Hospital Child Life Activity Center.
The camp will include fun and exciting activities for kids, including swimming, bowling, and many surprise outings. Related health information and other educational materials will be provided, with nurses, dieticians, and other hospital staff on hand. This year’s camp will feature a “McLeod Medieval” theme.
Registration is from 7:30 a. m. -8 a. m., with camp activities held from 8 a. m. -4 p. m. Breakfast and lunch will be served to children participating in the camp.
